Central Jakarta Owns 96 Waste Banks

For waste management, the Central Jakarta Administration utilized 96 waste banks spread at government offices and residential areas.
Head of Central Jakarta Cleanliness Sub-Department, Marsigit acknowledged as much as 62 banks owned Government office and the rest of 34 are located in residential.
"Our costumer nowadays reached 716 people and trash omzet by 38,915 kilograms/month or Rp102,669,300 per month," he said, Saturday (9/5).
currently the research and training center for the development of 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) in Rawasari waste disposal site on jalan Rawasari Selatan, Cempaka Putih Timur Urban Village is being carried out. The process of sorting, composting and recycling of packaging materials is done with a capacity of 2-4 tons per day.
"It is very useful to reduce trash from the origin place, hopefully this bank could develop to each RW around Central Jakarta," he disclosed.Source: en.tempo.co
