Jakarta to Build New Infiltration Wells

Jakarta Provincial Government is ready to build new infiltration wells. Surrounding residents will be involved to realize this plan.
Jakarta Deputy Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, said that Jakarta needs 5,545 infiltration wells, which means huge amount of workers will be needed.
"No need involving the contractor, just local residents," he said, Tuesday (9/1).
It is targeted that city must have 26 thousand of wells. That is why this plan will be included in the main program.
Meanwhile, Tri Joko Sri, Jakarta Head Dept. of Water Management, explained besides using self-management approaching, the well development will apply efficient communal-based concrete technology.
