IWRM Workshop 2014
April 07, 2015CKNet-Ina/IHE Indonesia/CDIET Project, organised a Workshop in Integrated Water Resources Management from 3-6 November 2014 at Grand Aquila Hotel, Bandung.
The overall goal in addressing water resources management is sustainability. This should also be accompanied by social equity and economic efficiency. The accepted approach to improving water resources management is based on stakeholder involvement in the planning and decision making process. A water resources strategy is usually a step on the way to the development of a plan as the basic goals and objectives need to be set and the key direction of the changes agreed before embarking on detailed planning. Planning is not a linear exercise but it is cyclical and must be accompanied by regular evaluation, assessment of progress and re-planning.
